Who we are

Getting Married in Worcestershire is run by Paul Hickey. If you have any questions about your information, email hello@gettingmarriedinworcestershire.co.uk.

Couples who send an enquiry

When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, email, phone number if provided, wedding date, venue, optional number of guests and your message. Enquiries go to the supplier or venue you chose, with a copy to Getting Married in Worcestershire. Where a supplier or venue has confirmed its enquiry email, we send it directly. If that confirmation is no longer valid when you submit, we hold your enquiry for our team to forward by hand. We also send you a copy.

We keep enquiries for 12 months, then delete them from the website database. They are stored in our protected internal dashboard with their source page and delivery status. We don't use enquiry details for marketing or send them to other suppliers you haven't chosen.

Suppliers who apply to join

When you apply to join the network, we collect your business name, contact details, website and the information you send us. We use it to review your application and, if you're accepted, to run your listing and contact you about it.

Award nominations

If you nominate a supplier or recommend one for the Worcestershire Wedding Awards, we collect your name, email where requested and what you write. We use it only to run the awards. We don't publish your email address. Admin records require sign-in; supplier nomination forms are accessible through private invitation links.

Suppliers and venues we list

We list business details that are published on businesses' own websites. We do this under our legitimate interest in running a useful local wedding directory. Where a listing includes a person's name or contact details, we tell the business how to correct or remove it. You can ask us to change or remove your listing at any time.

Cookies and statistics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies or store anything on your device. Our hosting provider sets one essential cookie (GAESA) to route your visit; it isn't used for tracking. We don't use advertising cookies, so we don't need to ask for cookie consent.

When you click through to a supplier's or venue's website, phone number or email from our pages, we count the click so we can tell businesses how many people we send them. We don't use cookies for this and we don't store your IP address.

Who else handles your information

The services handling form information are Replit (hosting, database and file storage), Resend (sending email), Google Workspace (our inbox) and Cloudflare Turnstile (spam protection on forms). Ahrefs provides the website analytics described above.

If you sign up to our newsletter, we keep your email address in our own database only to send you wedding planning news from Getting Married in Worcestershire. Every newsletter will include a way to unsubscribe, or you can email hello@gettingmarriedinworcestershire.co.uk at any time and we'll delete your address.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email us at the address above. If you're not happy with our reply, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
